Volunteer Opportunities
“Caring Hands” – Beyond Our Building Pastor Caroline of St. Paul’s has volunteered to train individuals who are interested in providing Holy Communion to our shut-ins. This program will be an extension of our parish nurse program. Carole Johnson visits many of our shut-ins and expressed a need for this type of volunteer program. This will be a wonderful opportunity to reach out to our members at home

louse pins continue to be a popular fundraiser for COOL and
are always available. New designs are regularly received.
'here is always a need for volunteers at COOL -- either at the
pantry, for our 9 housing units, or for any fundraiser. If you

The COOL Food Pantry is in need of more refrigerator and freezer
space. We are looking for an additional upright freezer plus
a refrigerator unit. If you are able to assist us, please call
the COOL Food Pantry at 847-662-1230.

COOL Seeks Pantry Aid
The COOL Food Pantry is seeking a pantry aide to pick-up and unload
our weekly food order from Northern Illinois Food Bank in Park City.
Candidate would be needed from 8:00 AM to 12 Noon on Mondays.
Candidate must have Illinois Driver’s License in good standing, and
must be able to lift 50 pounds. INTERESTED PERSONS SHOULD
CONTACT DIANE WEBER AT 847-662-1340, MAILBOX “1” FOR
FURTHER INFORMATION.
Sundays after the Epiphany: Green is used for its symbolism of our growth in Christ. Green, in a sense, is a "neutral color," used when more festive or more somber color is not appointed.
Ash Wednesday: Black is the preferred color, since it is the color of the ashes to which we will all return. Purple is the alternate color for this first day of Lent.
Lent: Purple is indicated, as the stark color of repentance and solemnity
