
Council Highlights
Trinity United Church Council met on November 8, 2011. Highlights follow:
Water usage rates investigated by Gene Sanderlin resulting in a recommendation to install new commodes to help defray costs.
Staff interviews were conducted by Terry Oldfield and Bonnie Hellickson to determine if employees are satisfied.
An anonymous donor to provide funds and planning for the November 20 catered luncheon. • John Hansen (Investment Team) reports Trinity investments are doing well.
Sagrado Corazon has a candidate for full time minister. He will be considered as missionary status from Costa Rica.
Council is working on the 2012 budget and increased Synod support to $23,100.
Trinity United council next meets Tuesday, February 14 at 7:00 PM in the Larson Hall. Members and guests are welcome to attend.
Share Your Gifts — New Ministry Teams
Trinity’s council has been working to focus and maximize our ministries by consolidating our existing Ministry Teams and Task Forces. That means
reducing from eight Ministry Teams (Communication, Worship and the Arts, Children and Family, Adult Spiritual formation, Justice and Advocacy, Financial, Property and Stewardship) and three task forces (Redevelopment, Diversity, and Trinity Partners) to five new ministry teams:

Other task forces will be developed for short term, temporary projects. Here’s where you come in: as we reorganize, we need one year volunteers to reenergize and refocus these parts of our ministries.

Sundays after the Epiphany: Green is used for its symbolism of our growth in Christ. Green, in a sense, is a "neutral color," used when more festive or more somber color is not appointed.
Ash Wednesday: Black is the preferred color, since it is the color of the ashes to which we will all return. Purple is the alternate color for this first day of Lent.
Lent: Purple is indicated, as the stark color of repentance and solemnity
