Annual Report for Communications

The Communications Ministry was formed in November 2005 with the ministry team reorganization. The team works in support of the ministry of the congregation as a whole and the working groups as a part to facilitate communications with the congregational members and the community. The team should oversee an effective "marketing " campaign of our ministry that includes print, cable, web, and other media.
Work in 2006 involved getting existing information on the current status of various means in place such as the web page, yellow pages, and newspaper ads.
No formal meetings were held however several members indicated an interest at the 2005 Ministry Fair. Meetings will commence in 2007.
Initial work will involve

• Preparing a procedure for placing a written news article in local papers
• Preparing a procedure for placing a community interest announcement in local papers
• Reviewing our Brochure and changing if necessary
• Reviewing and upgrading our Web site as required to support our ministries. This will include coordinating with the Metropolitan Synod and ELCA Web sites.
